Nestled in the East McDonnell Ranges in a stunning location about 1 hour outside of Alice Springs, the 2016 World Rogaining Championships will bring the world's best endurance athletes together to compete in the 24 hour Red Centre Rogaine.
Phase One entries open on 23 October 2015.
European Rogaining Championship was on June 27-28 2015 in Novohradske mountains in the Czech republic. 440 participants (195 teams) were present; another 91 rogainers (44 teams) took part in Open 6 & 12 hour Rogaining Events. We have hosted rogainers from 16 European countries accompanied by several Australians living in Germany as well.
The terrain was very challenging, sometimes, especially during the night; it was not easy to find some check points, although all markers were correctly placed. Also weather was not ideal, fine rain several times changed to cloudburst. Map printed on water-resistant material Pretex required some additional protection, but any complaint concerning of map durability hasn’t occurred.

On Monday 24 August and Tuesday 25 August 2015 a 2 day workshop will be presented at the event centre of WRC2015 in Kiilopää, Finland with a mix of theory and field practical sessions to discuss rogaine course setting/vetting processes and approaches. There will be a combination of larger group presentation/discussion and smaller groups with an experienced coach to spread ideas on course setting techniques and philosophy between different areas of the world.

This is not a decision making forum but rather an opportunity for rogainers and rogaining administrators from around the world to meet and discuss issues of mutual interest. Everyone is encouraged to attend
